- The Muse plays 4 weekends at Cavalier Days in Smithville, Texas and completely fails to get paid. Wolf Loescher sits in with band for first time.
- April 18, 1997
- Chuck Ivy plays last gig with band at the Mucky Duck, goes of into the corporate world to become vampire yuppie. Wolf Loescher plays first official gig with band, and is completely surrounded by no beer.
- May 5, 1997
- Maggie and Anders celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
- May 16, 1997
- Mike Byers graduates from the University of Houston. (Somebody offer him a job!)

- Maggie buys new shoes.
